Well the important thing is to explore your options. There are many car insurance companies in LA, and to find the best one you are going to have to do some searching. Get quotes from each insurance company, start off with popular providers such as State Farm, Geico, and All State, but don’t let that be all the research you do. Call up an insurance company and they will refer you to the agent that serves your area, then you can go from there.



Discounts

Hmm? Discounts you say? Why yes, there are discounts available, you just have to know what to look for! Some discounts include:

* Multi-vehicle/Multi-Driver: the more vehicles and drivers you have, the more likely you are to qualify for a discount.
* Bundling. If you already have insurance for your home or rental home, try going through that company first for your car insurance.
* Clean record: If you haven’t had an accident or ticket for at least 3-5 years you will most likely qualify.

* Theft Protection: Let them know if you have anti-theft devices on your car (Lojack, On Star, car alarms, etc)
* Military: this varies from state to state
* AARP/AAA
* Student: If you have high grades and are a full-time student you can get your premium reduced.
